Tomorrow's DIY

Finally getting on to doing this Balmain-inspired DIY I've wanted to do for so long!!
Now I'm way too tired to start but I already have in mind what I'm going to do so first thing tomorrow morning ;)

Now when all the ultra-feminine peplum skirts are everywhere, I feel like pulling back and dressing super simple and masculine, with a twist.

Couldn't resist..

Just clicked these two babies home. I ordered them both since I'm unsure on which ones will fit best with the rest of my closet, that way I can try them on at home and then just return the other pair. I am more excited about the second one though, I LOVE the thin strap around the foot!

They are both from the label Nowhere on I am truly in love with the brand, it's clean, simple and minimalistic! And now everything is enormously discounted aswell, I am so amazed that all these stunning items haven't sold out yet!

Yesterday's Outfit

           Coat/Benetton, Scarf/Gina Tricot, Boots/Vagabond, Knitted Skirt/Gina Tricot,
           Hat/H&M,  Studded Cardigan/DIY

This is what I wore for my meetings yesterday in Helsinki! It's always sooo windy there so I wanted a hat to cover my hair, and loads of layers to keep me warm the whole day! I'm gonna be so very busy with work the coming weeks, but thankfully I can work anywhere, anytime; as long as I have my computer with me :)

Knit inspiration

It has been cold and rainy all day, so I'm staying in with a huge cup of tea, my boyfriend and my knitting projects :) I always have two or three going on at the same time, since my patience is not the best and I often want to move on to a new exciting project instead of finishing the old one..

New In: Burgundy Boots

As I've said before, burgundy is definately the it-colour of this season. I love this wine-coloured, darker and more plum-toned burgundy, it will fit right in with my other more redish burgundy pieces.

I think an outfit becomes more interesting when it's not matched with one exact same colour, but different shades of it.

New In: Dip Dyed Angora

Dip dyed angora sweater from Cubus! This baby pink fade to a dark burgundy will fit my fall wardrobe like a glove! This would also make a nice and easy DIY project! Angora is a natural fiber so it colours wonderfully with an even tone!

Stockholm Shoot!

Backstage pictures from the shooting I styled today! Woke up at 5.30 to be at the studio in time to prepare everything. We had cappucinos and croissants for breakfast, that made it a lot easier to stay awake and energetic for the whole day! It's still a secret where the pics are ending up- but i'll promise you'll see the result very soon!!

Thanks for the pics Laura :)

Coming Soon

These kobolt blue boots are to die for! From the new Vagabond collection, coming to stores soon.
I'm a big fan of Vagabond since I always put comfort first, and 80% of their shoes are the most comfortable shoes you will ever try! Good for working and walking around the city.

New Beanie YO!

New in: neon orange beanie! I've been wantng a neon coloured beanie for so long!

P.S. I'm WHITE. Means fall's here.

Perfect Fall Coat

Brics, 130€

Fall has already arrived in Scandinavia, and I am TIRED of all the black coats!! When a whole country gets a bit greyish and faints away, the only thing that can cheer me up is colour.

I was ecstatic when I found this orange and pale baby blue wool coats from BRICS, and you can also find the model in white, striped, (black) and a yummy pale light yellow.

Love their lookbook and the styling, layering in the same colour-scheme is definately going to be my guideline for dressing this fall!

Details from yesterday

Some details from the Anna Dello Russo for H&M collection! Champagne, macarons and other sweets kept my bloodsugar high while me and Aurora browsed the collection with everything from jewellery to bags and shoes! My favourites were the "grandma" earrings and the huge Cleopatra-ish necklace! Big and chunky is all what Anna Dello Russo is about. Italian Versace-styled all out! The colours were great; gold, orange and turquoise. Can sometimes bit a bit too much but rightly styled I think they'd all look great! You can find them in selected stores 4.10.

Anna Dello Russo for H&M

Home again, after an exhausting day between showrooms and pouring rain! More pics to come tomorrow but until then, a pic of what we got as a memory of the Anna Dello Russo for H&M Collection presented at the H&M Showroom in Helsinki. It's a perfect present for one of my dearest friends conveniently also called Anna ;)

Neon Yellow DIY Crochet Necklace

Please ignore my tired face, i've been wearing only lipstick today!

This DIY is so easy and fast to do, even if you're not very familiar with crochet!
The two things you need are a thick crochet hook and this jersey fabric thread. At least in Finland you can find them in all fabric stores, they cut their leftover fabrics and make thick thread out of it. Great way to use spare pieces of fabric!

Make the starting knot by making a loop. Leave a 10cm piece of thread for the closure at the end.

 Pull through the thread .
Then slide it on the crochet hook.
This is the basic position of thread and hands.
Once you've got this, you do great! The thread on the thumb should be the longer thread.
With the hook, bring through the left side thread through the first hoop on your crochet hook.

Continue bringing the thread through and pulling it, then back to the basic position. You will see a thread chain growing.
When you've got the length you wanted, it's time to make the second layer of chains. This you do by going through the hoops you've just created.
Put the hook through the first hoop, and pull trhough the thread.

Continue through all the hoops, then repeat for a third layer if you like a wider necklace.

Done! Leave another 10cm of thread at the end so you can use them to tie a bow for closure in the back.

New DIY coming up ;)
