I've grown to love accessorizing more than making a complex outfit, in this case accessorizing the hair! 60's volume and to mix it up a DIY Headband with studs. You can use the ribbon in so many different ways, I'll show you some tomorrow! :)

Cheap Monday

My absolute favourite two outfits from this show! Kind of get a Phillip Lim Pre-Spring feeling from the layers and prints but a high street version. LOVE!

Dagmar

 

Stunning hats, and knits and jackets as usual! Dagmar never dissapoints! The materials and colours were fantastic, and I loved the striped runway hair! But I have to say the dress in the last picture was a bit boring since it reconnets so strongly to this seasons Dagmar F/W dresses...

 

Mes Dames

 

Mes Dames was beautiful and feminine! I would have to mix and match their pieces to something more rough, since it would be way to elegant for me otherwise. The fur vest combined with burgundy was yummy, and the beige thick coat was amazing!

Son of a Preacher Man.

Also got my hair cut today! It's been THREE years since I last cut it, so my mother-in-law thought it was about time I stopped by her salon. Almost can't recognize myself in the mirror! Love this feeling!

STHLM Fashion Week Day 1

I have been organizing our move from the appartament today so I just had time for a quick stop to see Marimekkos show today! Dressed in an all blues outfit! It was so nice to finally see some Finnish design here on th Stockholm Fashion Week :) And marimekko has taken a huge step out of the older-generation-dressing-business! Bold prints and fun colours, I think everyone enjoyed the show.

Some backstage pictures from the looong 12-hour shooting I organized for the Matkus Shoppingcenter Magazine! The hard and great thing about styling items from mainstream labels like H&M, Gina Tricot, Cubus, Vila, and so on, is that you have to try and make the looks more expensive and exclusive with the styling and combining of items. It's harder than with high fashion brands, but it's also fun to have a challenge like that. I would love to style the H&M lookbooks one day!

Xmas Flu.

I've been in bed for the past two days, I caugth a terrible flu from my younger sister when she was here... Today I finally feel a bit better so I thought I'd go around town and get some fresh air and to see if I find something fun from the sales ;)

Got woken up (at 8.30!) with breakfast in bed and a present :) I got this lime green angora Acne sweater I've been drooling over I feel so lucky now!

I am as I said yesterday officially a quarter of a century old :D gosh I still feel like 21!! But as my wise father said today: We don't stop playing cus we get old, but we get old because we stop playing. :) So I'm going to keep playing and being silly!

Something old, something new...

Today I'm trying something new: Videoblogging! :) I just HAD to make a video when I found this greater than great radiostation... It plays arabic, african, brazilian, well ALL kind of traditional music! It makes me completely calm and focused on other stuff, than the music. It's a very inspiring background tune :)

Following, some pics from the new appartament :) For the first time in my life, I can feel a super positive aura... I think auras are formed mostly on who and what kind of people have been living in the flat before. This flat is rented to us by a model from Stockholm, who regularly goes to New York for a longer period of time to work, and who now currently is in Burkina Faso (her family lives there) and who is a passionate documentary-filmer. One of the documentaries that she has made is Taxi Sister, in which she follows a female taxidriver in Senegal on her daily routines and the daily difficulties she is confronted with only because of her gender. Another one from the archives that I got to see only yesterday! We found an abandoned empty pool in Stockholm this summer and decided to try it for some Lords of Dogtown-ish pictures! This pic makes me want to start to wear only eyeliner again, mascara is overrated! Allthough in this pic I was tanned, now I'm white as a sheet. Might not give the same effect...

We're shooting in Stockholm this weekend and on monday I'm flying to Barcelona, my old hometown! I've missed the lifestyle, people and energy that the city gives SO much, I can't wait to go back!!It's such a beautiful city and I have many of the dearest people in my life living there that I haven't seen for over a year. I'm going to hug them each for an hour! Again, can't wait!!!

New Home.

 

This is the most energy I have for sharing today. We got settled in, ran around town the whole day, went to Ikea, Designtorget and my favourite; Granit (Swedish interior design stores). In Granit almost everything they sell is black and/or made out of metal, and paired with a newly painted white appartament it's just the result I want. More tomorrow promise! Sleep tight!

I'm packing for Stockholm, going to move there for a little while.. It is so hard to pack when you don't know how and if the weather is suddenly going to change! Besides, I wake up every morning feeling like dressing with a different style...how am I supposed to pack??
I started with basics, and SHOES. Theese are my four absolut favourite everyday shoes. I got a package waiting for me in Stockholm with two pair of heels from Nelly.com, so I made the hard decision to leave both my Jeffrey Campbells at home. Sigh!
I will be needing a lot of big warm knits which are going to occupy a lot of space in my bag, so for the bottoms I had to keep things quite simple: one pair of dark jeans, one pair of highwaisted black jeans, my burgundy ones, and some skirts and shorts that can be tucked in somewhere where there's space.

I'm bringing a lot of beanies, hats, caps and accessories to bring variety to my wardrobe, 3 coats and a blazer,  and so on, I'll show you everything later on when I've unpacked tomorrow! xx

Stockholm Shoot!

 

Backstage pictures from the shooting I styled today! Woke up at 5.30 to be at the studio in time to prepare everything. We had cappucinos and croissants for breakfast, that made it a lot easier to stay awake and energetic for the whole day! It's still a secret where the pics are ending up- but i'll promise you'll see the result very soon!!
