Quick hello and a glimpse of my new hair! The yellow tone caused by the sun, beach and salty water is now gone, and I have bangs! Stay tuned for next week there will be another fun alternation to this look ;)

Nopeat ihanan viikonlopuntoivotukset ja kuva uudesta tukastani. Auringon polttama, suolaveden värjäämä keltainen blondi on kadonnut ja tilalle on tullut hopeanharmaa sävy ja otsis by ihana kampaajaystäväni Anne! Paljastan jo nyt että ensi viikolla tulee taas uusi muutos tukkaan stay tuned... ;)  

Rainy Copenhagen

Hello from Denmark! This is what I was wearing yesterday in the rainy, grey but still oh so beautiful Copenhagen. My hair is pink again, always cheers me up in the darker than dark pre-winter days when we only have light until 4 o'clock in the afternoon in Scandinavia. Tonight is my last night here so we're going out, first we're going to see a cool hiphop documentary about the Los Angeles based record company Stones Throw Records! Can't wait to have some fun with my girls.

Colour after 1 wash.

 So, here are the steps I followed to get this ombré-ish messy punk haircolour! Basicly what you first need, is an attitude that no matter what happens, you will rock this new hairdo. Confidence is key! ;)

I used the Crestol Fantasy colour Funky Purple, since I wanted a colour that was in between violet and pink. The colour scared me at first since it's reeeally dark, but it is easy to lighten up with conditioner.

FIN: Eli tässä vähän tarkemmat ohjeet tämän hiusvärin tekemiseen! Alkuun tarvitaan tottakai kickass attitude että mitä tahansa tapahtuikin, ne ovat vain hiuksia, ja rokkaatte niitä kuitenkin. ;) Confidence is key!

Käytin Crestol Fantasyn väriä Funky Purple, koska halusin värin joka ei ollut liian violetti eikä liian pinkki. Väri näyttää purkissa tooodella tummalta mikä pelotti alkuun, mutta sitä on tosi helppo vaalentaa hoitoaineella.

Step 1: Make sure your hair is clean and shampooed, but not conditioned. Mix the colour in a plastic bowl with conditioner to get the shade you want. The colour now is going to be almost exactly as it will look on your hair when it's dry and ready so keep that in mind! Also, it's good that the conditioner is a really basic one, not a super treating, repairing or other. And make sure to wear gloves, this colour stained really easily!

Vaihe1: Hiusten pitää olla puhtaat ja pesdyt (ei hoitoaineella) ja ilman lakkaa tai muita aineita. Sekoita vähän väriä hoitoaineen kanssa muovikippoon saadaksesi haluamasi sävyn. Tässä vaiheessa väri näyttää jo melkein tismalleen samalta kuin lopputuloksessa, hyvä pitää mielessä! On myös parempi käyttää ihan tavallista hoitoainetta eikä supertehokasta hoitavaa tai muita erikoishoitoaineita. Ja käyttäkää hanskoja, koska tämä väri tahraa todella helposti ja on vaikea saada pois iholta tai muilta pinnoilta!

 

2. I started with my ends and a slightly midtone shade. 10minutes and It came out such a delicious berry-colour, sorry for the bad iphone picture!  I dried my hair to see the final colour, mixed another set with even more conditioner and a drop of colour, and applied it to the whole hair from roots to ends, kept the colour for only two minutes. Just applying it with the hands and not combing it through made it a more natural, messy colour, and the two-fase application made it a cool ombré!

2. Aloitin pelkästään latvoista keskisävyllä, jotta siitä ei tulisi vahingossa liian tumma. Siitä tuli kymmenessä minuutissa aivan syötävän marjaisa sävy, ei näy kunnolla tässä huonossa iPhone kuvassa. Kuivasin hiukset, sekoitin toisen setin väriä (tällä kertaa vähän vaaleamman) ja levitin sen sotkuisesti koko tukkaan aloittaen juurista. Kampaamalla hiukset sen jälkeen läpi, väristä tulee tasaisempi, minä skippasin sen vaiheen kokonaan. :)  Pidin väriä päässä ainoastaan pari minuuttia ja se riitti hyvin!

 

 

This was the result. Quite bright but only after one wash it turned out like on the first picture. It's nice since you definitely don't get bored while to colour keeps changing from wash to wash!


Tässä tulos! Aika kirkas mutta jo yhden pesun jälkeen siitä tuli ensimmäisen kuvan näköinen. Hauskaa että väri jatkaa muuttumistaan joka pesun jälkeen, tähän ei todellakaan kyllästy helpolla! :)

Hot Pink Hair.

 

Fiiiiinally had the courage to colour my hair a hot pink-violet colour!! :) What do you think? It's kind of punky and sweet at the same time. I've been celebrating finnish midsummer in Sarahs wonderful cottagehouse by the water for two days, we had such a great time even though I unfrotunately had an infection in my wisdom tooth and had to eat painkillers and antibiotics all the time. I'll write you more about the colour and how I did the colour if you guys are interested? Have a great sunday!♥


Uskalsin VIHDOIN värjätä hiukseni vaaleanpunaisiksi/liilaksi! :D Mitä mieltä olette? Vähän punkahtava mutta kuitenkin söpö väri musta. Ollaan vietetty juhannusta Sarahin ihanalla kesämökillä veden ääressa viikonloppuna, vähän harmitti että viisaudenhammas päätti tulehtua juuri nyt koska sain popsia kipulääkkeitä ja antibiootteja muiden juhliessa. Mutta hauskaa oli silti! Ja niiin rentouttavaa. Lisää kuvia sieltä huomenna :) Kirjoitan myös mielelläni enemmän miten ja millä värjäsin tukan jos teitä kiinnostaa? Ihanaa sunnuntaita!♥

Hair Tutorial: Wavey Curls & Vidal Sassoon Contest!

 

I've gotten so many questions about how I make my wavey hairdo, so when Chictopia together with Vidal Sassoon asked me to create a summer hairstyle I decided to do this super easy 10-minute hairdo that makes even the simplest of outfits fabulous!

Olen saanut paljon kysymyksiä näistä aaltokiharoista, joten kun Chictopia ja Vidal Sassoon pyysivät minua näyttämään ehdottoman kesäkampaukseni tiesin heti että halusin tehdä tämä super easyn, 10-minuutin kampauksen. Pahin pelkoni on olla tylsä, ja nämä kiharat pelastavat yksinkertaisimmankin outfitin tylsyydeltä! :)

 

The products I used for this hairdo was the Vidal Sassoon Repair One Minute Mask and Repair & Finish Spray, to give shine and softness to the curls. Curls are always more gorgeous when they're smooth and silky, and these gave just the right boost to my dry ends.

Model Crush: Chloe Norgaard.

You might have seen her already in the Nicole Miller or Marimekko runways, or in magazines and editorials! I love how she doesn't want to "fit in" with the rest of the models, but is wanted high on the casting list because of her inspirational style in clothes and rainbow coloured hair! I wish I one day would have the courage to have "tie-dye" hair too.

Siis ah mikä tyttö! Todella inspiroivaa että joku haluaa kulkea vastavirtaan mallimaailmassa eikä sulautua kaikkien muiden tuhansien mallien joukkoon, vaan ylpeänä edustaa omaa tyyliään. I DIYed this chain hairdo already at Stockholm Fashion Week, but I didn't manage to snap a picture back then so I thought I'd share it now! Originally, I had attached three different size gold chain to haircombs, but since my hair is so typically scandinavian and very thin, on my hair the chain-hairdo works better with the chains attached to normal bobbypins. This way you can also use the chains with much more variety. So easy, so cheap- so chic!


Olin ajatellut jo Tukholman Muotiviikolla näyttää tämän super-helpon ketjukampauksen, mutta en ehtinyt silloin napata siitä kuvaa! Alkuperäisessä DIY-Ketjukorussa olin kiinnittänyt ketjut hiuskampoihin, mutta ne näkyivät aivan liikaa ohuen tukkani alta. Pinneihin kiinnitetyt ketjut sopivat ainakin minun hiuksille paljon paremmin, ja niitä voi näin myös vaihdella ja käyttää monella eri tapaa! Tosi helppoa, halpaa, ja piristää ihmeellisesti arkilookkeja :)

New Hair!

Tadaa! Not a very radical change at all but I figured this way I can keep the kookooness in my dressing instead! Last night was my last saturday in Finland before my move to Tokyo, we went to a local club Blankos birthday and I had SO much fun!! Thanks for the great company Ida and Sarah ♥ I wore my new burgundy Weekday top, I'm so in love with it! Sorry for all the bad pics, I've been lazy with dragging my camera with me these days :)

STHLM FW Day 2 look

I've grown to love accessorizing more than making a complex outfit, in this case accessorizing the hair! 60's volume and to mix it up a DIY Headband with studs. You can use the ribbon in so many different ways, I'll show you some tomorrow! :)

Today's look!
I have been searching for the perfect fur jacket for like a month, I wanted the right length and the so called "mongolian hair" length for the fur. It makes it a bit more fun and not so serious ;) Topped it off with a golden chain and belt, plus my new favourite thing: Girly hairdo's with gangsta caps!!

Inspiration: Flapper Hair

I've always wanted to try this hairstyle! I can imagine it with my worn-out boyfriend jeans and a white tee to create that lovely contrast between elegant and casual... and it doesn't look too hard to do either! :) I'll post the result as soon as I try it!

Ever since Laura showed me how to do these wavy curls I've been doing them like once a week! They make boyish, really casual outfits like this one much more exciting and fun! Don't you think?

Long Bob.

 

When I was living in Barcelona, I modelled for different hair-product brands such as Wella and L'oreal. After two years and a LOT of different hairstyles I got so tired of people deciding about my hair I started saying no to jobs and just letting it grow. No colours, no cuts, I just let it grow. Now, 2 years later, the only time I coloured my hair was when I made it super red, and then let it slowly faint into a straberry blonde and then back to my orginal colour. It's so long now, and I'm SO sick of it.

Thus, time for a change! I fell in love with these two girls I found randomly on the internet, so I might be going towards a long bob with my hair aswell. I just need to figure out something extra to it, like a nice colour or something special, to not make it so classic. The "Outgrown red" is just gorgeous!

Fall's number one trend: Leather.

This smooth, silky editorial got me by storm, Suvi's perfect skin and shiny hair is definately going to be my inspiration this winter. Combined with the strong leather pieces such as the bowtie and the cap, this is surely going to show the way in this seasons accessories.

I'm slightly obsessed with braids right now.. the keep the hair in place, it's comfortable, versatile..

You can find heaps of good tutorials for braiding on youtube, i'll post some later with my own version!
