Throwback to April 2013

Some throwbacks of looks when I was living in Tokyo last year! One of the fun things about blogging is you get such a huuuuge archive of outfits, and you see how your personal style changes over the years. I feel inspired now over how I saw fashion in a different way living in Tokyo, how the weather and culture aspects move you in different directions in dressing. Oh how I miss Tokyo! Pieni throwback viime vuoden huhtikuuhun kun asuin Tokiossa! Yks bloggaamisen ihanimmista puolista on se, että koneelle ja kovalevylle on kertynyt satoja lookkeja vuosien varrelta, joita on niin hauska katsella jälkikäteen. Eri kulttuurit ja säät vaikuttavat paljon minun henkilökohtaiseen tyyliini, vaikka silti huomaan että tyylini ei ole muuttunut dramaattisesti viimeisen vuoden aikana. Kaipaan Tokioa niin paljon, haluan takaisin NYT!

I have a big announcement to make: I have officially found my DREAM house!!! Too bad there's already a cool couple living there, I'll have to construct my own in Finland close to the woods or something! This house is soooo inspirational, all the walls are of glass, and it has small stairs and different levels everywhere! And to top up the Feng Shui: a lot of green plants! I can only imagine how calm and relaxing the atmosphere in that house is. I'd wake up with the biggest smile on my face every morning if I could live there!

Hammastahnan sävyjä tänään! Minttu ja valkoinen näyttää niin ihanan kesäiseltä ja raikkaalta.

Supertärkeä ilmoitus: Olen löytänyt virallisen UNELMATALONI!!! Siellä asuu harmi kyllä jo todella cool pariskunta, eli pitää vaan kopioida idea ja rakentaa samanlainen talo jonnekkin Suomeen metsien keskelle ;) Maailman inspiroivin ja kaunein talo, seinät ovat kokonaan lasista ja pieniä portaita ja eri välikköjä/korotettuja osia löytyy joka puolelta! Ja jotta Feng Shui olis täys kymppi: Paaaaljon vihreitä kasveja! Voin vain kuvitella miten ihanan rauhallinen tunnelma tuossa talossa on. Heräisin hymyillen joka aamu jos saisin asua tuolla!

Back in Tokyo! Today's outfit feels so summery again, love this weather! As we don't feel to comfortable being in the city with a nuclear bomb-threat going on from North Korea, we decided to leave for a relaxing road trip to the northern part of Japan tomorrow! Looking forward to the spas, hotel beds and looong breakfasts... 

Tokiossa taas! Tässä päivän look, ihanaa olla taas lämmössä! Koska Pohjois Korea uhkaa lähettää tänne ydinpommin huomenna me lähdemme hetkeksi pois kaupungista road tripille maan pohjoiseen osaan. Odotan innolla hot springs-uimaloita, hotellisänkyjä ja pitkiä aamiaisia...

My Instagram has been over-exploading with fashion lately, I hope I'm not boring anyone I just can't help how much I love accessories and small fashion-related things :D First and last sunday in Finland, I feel like staying at home baking or sewing since the weather outside is terrible! Mun Instagram on lähiaikoina pursunnut muotiaiheisia kuvia, toivottavasti kaikki seuraajat ei ihan vielä halua blockata ja unfollowata mun tiliä :D Rakastan vain kaikkea värikästä ja muotiin liittyvää niin paljon! Farewell friends!

Finally we are in the new appartment!! Wooden floors, big windows, light light light... Having a place you call home makes such a difference when you are away from your home country. We had a long paella-dinner with our friends right away, and said bye to our american friends who are going back to Oregon. Hate goodbyes! Tomorrow I'm up bright and early to take Laura to the airport train, have lunch with my dear friend Su, and stop by the H&M Showroom here in Tokyo.

Olemme vihdoinkin uudessa kämpässä!! Puulattiat, isot ikkunat, ja paljon valoa... Edellistä Tokion kämppäämme ei oikein voinut kutsua kodiksi, mutta tämä uusi asunto tuntui heti oikealta. Ihka oma koti ulkomailla tekee niin suuren eron viihtymisessä... Järjestin heti pitkän paella-illallisen ystävilleni, ja samalla jäähyväiset jenkkikavereillemme jotka lentävät takaisin Oregoniin. Huomenna herään tooodella aikasin viemään rakkaan Lauran junaan, käyn lounaalla ihanan Sun kanssa, ja piipahdan H&Män showroomilla.

Tokyo Fashion Week Day 3: The Dark Side.

Day 3 check, two more days to go! I wont deny my thighs are shaking and certainly feeling the harsh Tokyo streets and stairs after walking around in heels all the time haha! I knew today would be rainy so I wore a casual outfit and tied my hair Princess Leia style. Also tried to make a kind of a smokey eye, but I'm worthless with eyeshadows so this was the poor result!! (Feel free to link some tutorials to smokey-eye makeup if you know any good ones!)
The last pic was taken by my boyfriend while some hectic streetstyle photographers were taking pictures haha! I look so embarrassed!

Kolmas FW päivä takana, kaksi jäljellä! Nyt alkaa reisissä tuntumaan Tokion kovat kadut ja tuhannet rappuset, kun olen pyörinyt yötä päivää koroissa hahaa! Tiesin että tänään sataisi joten turvauduin melkein kokomustaan asuun ja tähän prinsessa Leia kampaukseen. On niin kiva kun ei tarvitse huolehtia hiuksista yhtään koko päivän aikana. Kokeilin myös toista kertaa elämässäni smokey-eye meikkiä ja tässä tulos, olen ihan toivoton luomivärien kanssa äh!! (Linkatkaa mielellään meikki tutorialeja jos tiedätte jotain hyviä)
Poikaystävä otti viimeisen kuvan samalla kuin pari hullua streetstyle-valokuvaajaa nappasi minusta kuvia, näkyykö miten paljon mua nolotti? :D

Tokyo Fashion Week Soldier.

First day at Tokyo Fashion Week! I had organized a surprise birthdayparty for my boyfriend at a local izakaya (place you go to have food and especially drink BEER!) so we were preeeetty hangover today. Hence the sunnies ;) I tried painting my hair with chalk, it worked! So now I have a purple dip dye for a while wippiee! Btw, ths is the amazing Anna Sui vintage faux fur-skirt I found the other week!! It was a real bargain!

Eka Tokyo Fashion Week päivä takana! Olin järjestänyt yllätys synttärijuhlat rakkaalle poikaystävälleni eilen paikallisessa izakayassa (baarimainen paikka jonne mennään syömään mutta enimmäkseen juomaan halpaa OLUTTA) joten olimme aika krapulassa tänään.. Onneksi aurinkolasit pelastavat  ;) Kokeilin eilen myös värjätä hiukset liiduilla, eli nyt mulla on liilat dipdye latvat hetken aikaa, yay! Päivän asussa se vintagekaupasta löydetty Anna Sui hame josta kerroin aikasemmin, se oli todellinen löytö!!

Blue and pink combo today! I wound up buying this furry coat-cardigan from Harajuku since a crazy cold-windy-sandstorm started! Feels very japanese doesn't it? :) Everything here is so cute and pink and sweet, compared to my friends here I feel like a complete tomboy haha!

Sini-pinkki combo tänään :) Jouduin ostamaan tämän karvatakin Harajukusta hullun hiekkamyrskyn alkaessa! Se näyttää mielestäni niin japanilaiselta! Kaikki täällä on söpöä ja vaaleanpunaista ja herttaista, ja ystäviini verrattuna täällä olen todellinen tomboy :D hassua!

Pikainen päivän asu! :) Rakastuin noihin vaaleanpunaisiin rappusiin jotka löydettiin ihan kotinurkilta. Rikottiin taatusti varmaan sata japanilaista käytös-sääntöjä kun lainattiin niitä kuviin, täällä kun ei saa tehdä mitään kysymättä! :D

Vogue Japan+Chocolate Cake

Today I'm not feeling so well (might be a reaction to the harsh Tokyo wind) so I'm staying home from work browsing Vogue Japan and eating chocolate cake! Best medicine ever!
Yesterday we went vintage-shopping and I found some cute things, among them an amaaaaazing Anna Sui skirt for only 1990¥ (about 18€)! I might just wear it at the upcoming Tokyo Fashion Week... 

Tänään on heikko ja kipeä olo, buu. Oltiin eilen vintage-shoppailemassa ja Tokion kylmä tuuli tuntuu niiiin paljon kylmemmältä kuin Suomen talvi vaikka täällä oli +7astetta...brr!! 
Löysin m.m ihanan Anna Sui hameen vaan 1990¥ (18€)!! Juuri sopivasti Tokion Fashion Weekiä varten, joka alkaa nyt 17.3. Onkohan FW:issä vielä hullumpi meno kun täällä Japanissa muutenkin, ollaan tultu poikaystävän kanssa siihen tulokseen että japsit on ihania mutta tosi weirdoja :D Esimerkkinä Cat Café -sinne voi mennä deitille tai ihan vaan silittelemään kissoja tuntimaksulla.

It's crazy how fast the days go by in Tokyo, I feel I don't have any spare time at all! Is it like this in all major cities?New York maybe? Just going from one place to another seems to take ages and three different trains to get there... Well this is what I've been up to lately anyway. Some snaps from Hong Kong and the three first ones are from Tokyo! I'll post some pics later from Harajuku, I'm in love with the shopping there! Especially the vintage shopping, it's amazing!

WOW!!!! Is Tokyo summed up in one word. It's impossible to describe this city, I've been here for five days now and it seems I haven't had time for anything! Between looking for a flat, considering jobs, and getting to know this hectic city it has been a wild ride, and it doesn't look like it's slowing down soon.

So far so good, got a meeting with a big Marketing PR company for modelling!! Me! I couldn't believe it. So fingers crossed! :)

Dinners and Late Nights.

                           Reunited!Celebrating Joyes birthday with mexican food and drinks!

It's been great to be reunited for a week here in HK with one of my best friends, Joey. But tomorrow earlyand bright we are leaving Hong Kong for Tokyo! The plan is to live there and find a fashion-related job, learn about the culture and the language, and well, just live a little!:)

Any readers in Japan? Got any advice for me? :)

These last days here have been fantastic, loads of great food and drinks, enjoyed with the best company! ♥♥

TONIGHT!

This is it..... We are finally leaving!!! Tonight we are driving from Turku to Helsinki, from where we will fly via Milano to Hong Kong! There we will stay for a week with good friends, celebrate a birthday and hopefully get to see some of the Chinese New Year!
Then.. We are moving to Tokyooooooooo!! I'm so happy and so looking forward to new challenges, adventures, hell, even problems we might run into!

I will be traveling for the next day, so I'll update you when I arrive in HK! Woop Woop!!

Today's.  I still haven't got tired of combing my lime green Acne sweater to everything in my closet, that's a good sign it's a piece that will last! I was a bit worried I would get tired of the colour but so far so good ;)

Some big news for me right now is we finally bought our flights tickets!! So the 10th of February, me and my boyfriend will go to Hong Kong to visit some friends, and then move to Tokyo!!
I can't wait! New culture, new city, new everything...so excited!!! Anyone been to Tokyo before? Do you have some advice/hints for good areas/bars/shopping etc?
